Our History
John Margida was born to a strong Italian family in the heart of Akron, Ohio. A graduate of the University of Akron, John worked as a CPA in the “real world” for many years before stepping out on his own.
In 2000, his network of contacts came to him, one by one, asking for tax advice and accounting services. And he believed in his ability to deliver quality service to those who were asking. So, he worked tirelessly to meet the needs of his friends while working a full time job in the daytime, and building his practice in the evenings and on weekends.
People were more than happy with the services he provided, and they told their friends. Relationships were formed. Networking happened. And Margida & Associates was born.
Hard work, dedication to a dream, and a lot of late nights and early mornings, turned a “one man show” in a small office in Cuyahoga Falls into a firm that boasts a staff of eight employees, and is located in the beautiful office buildings at Clock Pointe Trail in Stow.
We are privileged to celebrate more than ten years of successful accounting and consulting. And we continue to strive for excellence by developing partnerships with our clients, day by day, and one by one, just like when we started.
John T. Margida, CPA
John Margida has been a practicing Certified Public Accountant since 1987, practicing in both the public and private sectors of the business world. His expertise is in business planning, tax saving strategies, and helping clients understand their financial statements.
He has been a practicing accountant since 1987, receiving his CPA license in 1996. He established his own accounting firm in 2000.
John’s dedication to helping people, drives the firm’s philosophy of technical competence with integrity and personal service. John serves in both charitable and other various civic organizations.

John and his wife of 28 years, Mary Margida, have three children, Matthew, John Junior and Joseph. They reside in Hudson.
